Vauxhall-Opel on the way to profit in the first generation with the new owner Peugeot

Struggling Vauxhall-Opel brand has undergone significant changes under new owner, Peugeot PSA, which removes the fear of more job cuts in the near future and you can see the business become a “hero” in the French car manufacturer.

Statements for the first six months, Peugeot has shown, Vauxhall-Opel have returned to the black after I bought a European car company last year.

Sister brands – which are the same cars but badged Vauxhall in the UK and Opel elsewhere – amounted to €502 million (£448m altitude) in operating profit in the first half of 2018. This compares with a $257m loss in 2016, the last full year they owned the US General motors. The marque has been losing money since 1999.
