The government has allocated 2 billion pounds to develop new high-tech fighter aircraft to enable combat aircraft industry after Germany and France excluded from the UK joint project in the beginning of this year
The project is aimed at creation of a new fighter called “storm” by 2035, which will be able to fly on their own or by the pilot, and will be equipped with laser weapons.
The opening of the Farnborough air show, Prime Minister Theresa may said “air combat strategy” will be to “support the commitment of the UK to worldwide air power”.
Mrs may said that 2 billion pounds of public money has been committed to the project to Finance it by 2025.
