More than 1,000 workers Poundworld will be at work next week as administrators are not off the chain stopper 80 stores after struggling to find a buyer.
A reduction of 25 other closures announced on Tuesday and will bring the total number of layoffs to about 1,350, including about 100 head office workers who were given last month to their orders.
Administrators Poundworld to Deloitte, they are still negotiating with “interested parties” about the “potential sale of a part or parts remaining for business”, including the headquarters and distribution centre in Normanton, West Yorkshire.
